While it's still great for trad and multi pitch climbing, the wide and stiffer dog bone sling lends itself to sport climbing because it's more predictable to clip and is easy to hang onto when working routes (or in a panic).

With two solid gates, the Fixie Montgrony quickdraw is fine to use with bolt plates and is easy to clip or unclip thanks to the no-snag nose. This 18cm sling version is great for reducing rope drag on long or wandering routes, or routes with roofs.
